It was a night of thrills, chills, and some killer moves on Dancing With the Stars as Halloween Nightmares Night brought the spooky drama—and some seriously high scores!

Carrie Ann Inaba set the pace by handing out the first 10 of the season to Dwight Howard and Daniella Karagach for their spine-tingling contemporary number. And from there, she just kept ‘em coming, dealing 10s to couples who hadn’t even cracked a nine before! Talk about a plot twist.

But it was the creepy doll dances that really stole the night. Joey Graziadei and Jenna nailed their Argentine tango, while Chandler Kinney and Brandon's Viennese waltz hit an impressive 29 out of 30. “I was totally hypnotized. Slick, clean, brilliant,” Bruno raved to Joey. And as for Chandler? “The quality of movement was exquisite,” he added. Translation: the duo owned the ballroom.

Danny Amendola, meanwhile, brought his own venom to an intense Argentine tango, while Jenn Tran leaned into her vampire phobia for a bloody good contemporary dance to Olivia Rodrigo's "Vampire." Stephen Nedoroscik went all in on a fear-of-the-dark routine that left both the ballroom and audiences at home spooked—and scored his best yet.

Then, things went head-to-head as couples battled it out in the dance-off round, all dancing the same style, at the same time, to the same song. Dwight and Daniella edged out Ilona and Alan in the “Ghostbusters” cha-cha, while Jenn won the salsa showdown over Stephen with her "Beetlejuice"-inspired moves. Joey bested Danny in a jive “ping pong match,” as Derek Hough called it. “A battle of the six-packs!” Bruno quipped. (Naturally, Joey took that title.)

Sadly, someone had to go, and it was Jenn Tran who took her final bow, leaving on a heartfelt note about her bond with partner Sasha. With no episode next week due to Election Night, the dancers get a brief break before returning for DWTS’s 500th episode on Nov. 12, where they’ll face the grueling Instant Dance Round.
